HOW TO FIX HEALTH CARE

The only way to lower heath care costs and improve efficiency is to reduce government subsidies and go back to fully private health care insurance. This video explains the source of our problems and outlines the solution.

The main problem with health care costs is the third-party payer system. If someone else is funding people's health care then they won't pay attention to costs and they will abuse the system by going to the doctor, buying drugs, etc. unnecessarily. That's what drives up prices and insurance premiums. We all end up paying for these abuses--the money doesn't come from "government." Remember government has no resources whatsoever except what it takes from taxes.

Have a nice day.

  1. interesting video and fully agree although a simplistic macro view...unraveling the current micro government hold on the medical care industry is the challenging aspect not to mention how the aged and poor participate in this free market apparatus....I see the medical care industry in 3 basic segments...wellness or preventative care, minor medical care, and major medical care. The major medical care is the financially most difficult to participate as a consumer with the potential catastrophic cost

  2. Affordable insurance for major medical expenses will always be available. This is how medical insurance was used in the past, not to subsidize Dr. visits down to a $10 co-pay which invites overuse abuse. Also, subsidized and even free medical services for the poor are, and will always be, available under any new system.
